About Us

OUR GOAL IS TO UPLIFT DIVERSE VOICES AND HAVE A DAMN GOOD TIME.

Point Theatre Project was founded in 2019 by a group of college friends freshly graduated and eager to share our love for humor, slinging steel, and a disregard for gender-roles with Chicago. With the goal of bringing more femme fighters to the front, we set out to create fight heavy pieces that showcased the incredible combatants the city.

From our humble beginning of a no budget, one night only show in a warehouse, Point Theatre scrapped and crafted our way to audience’s hearts.

We produced our first show “A Separate Peace” in fall of 2019 and were planning our second ever Gladiator Fight Night that spring.

Then lock down hit.

…..

Not much happened for a while….

THEN! The Universe heard our pleas and the gods gathered to bless us with their prowess in Battle of the Gods our first production back!

From there, Point’s dream of bringing interactive fight shows to life exploded! We tapped into our spooky side to summon Gladiator Fright Night to the stage every autumn and started producing more new works.

We have been so honored to bring all kinds of folks together to enjoy theater and lovingly ask “What’s the Point?”
